A fixed-price, 2-week discovery sprint that turns your idea into architecture, a milestone plan, and a fixed build quote. You own every deliverable, whether you build with us or not.
Why Discovery Comes Before Development
Ask three agencies to quote the same app idea and you will often get three numbers that are far apart: $30,000, $70,000 and $110,000. The gap isn't about honesty. None of those quotes came from real scoping, so each vendor padded for a different set of guesses.
A Paid Discovery Sprint replaces guesses with engineering. In two weeks, our team works with you to define what should be built, how it should be built, and what it will realistically cost. You finish with a fixed-price build proposal backed by architecture and a milestone plan, not a ballpark figure.
Discovery is also the lowest-risk way to evaluate Codersarts as a partner. Before you commit to a full build, you see how we think, communicate, challenge assumptions and document decisions.
Who It's For
Founders with a product idea who need clarity on scope, stack and budget before raising or spending money
Companies replacing legacy software or building a new internal tool
Teams exploring AI who need to know whether an AI agent, RAG system or automation is feasible with their data
Buyers who received conflicting quotes and want an independent, engineering-grade scope
Non-technical decision-makers who need a document their CFO or board can read and approve
If you already have a detailed specification, discovery still helps. Most specifications are not ready for development. Discovery validates yours, fills the gaps and confirms the build plan.
What You Get
Every discovery sprint ends with a Decision Pack, and you own all of it.
1. Problem & Goals Statement
What we heard, what we observed, and where those differ, plus success criteria agreed with your stakeholders.
2. Scope Recommendation
Features prioritised into must-have (MVP), should-have (Phase 2) and won't-have (this engagement). This is where most budget savings come from.
3. Solution Architecture
System components, data flow, integrations, hosting and a recommended tech stack, with the reasoning behind each choice.
4. Critical Flow Wireframes
Low-fidelity wireframes for the key user journeys, so everyone agrees on what the product does.
5. Technical Spike
A small, working test of the riskiest part of the build, such as a third-party API, an AI model on your sample data or a legacy integration. We reduce the risk before you invest.
6. Risk Register
Technical, data, security and timeline risks, each with a severity rating and a mitigation.
7. Milestone Plan & Estimate
A phased delivery plan with effort ranges for each milestone.
8. Fixed-Price Build Proposal
A real, defensible quote for the build, presented in a live walkthrough rather than sent by email.
How the Sprint Works
Week 1: Understand and Explore
Day 1, Kick-off: stakeholder mapping, business goals and success metrics
Day 2, Users and market: user needs, competitor review and existing systems
Day 3, Feature workshop: scope prioritisation
Day 4, Technical spike: test the riskiest integration or AI component
Day 5, Draft architecture: first version of the system design and backlog
Week 2: Design and Decide
Day 6, Wireframes: critical user flows
Day 7, Risks and non-functional requirements: security, performance and compliance
Day 8, Milestones and estimates: phased plan with effort ranges
Day 9, Internal review: senior engineering review of the full pack
Day 10, Walkthrough: live presentation of the Decision Pack and build proposal
Complex or enterprise projects with multiple integrations may extend to three weeks. We confirm the timeline before you start.
What We Need From You
A decision-maker available for the kick-off and the final walkthrough
3–5 hours of stakeholder time during week one
Access to any existing systems, documents or sample data
Quick responses to questions (we work asynchronously across time zones)
Pricing
Project type | Duration | Fixed price |
MVP / single product | 2 weeks | from $1,500 |
AI feature or integration-heavy build | 2 weeks | from $2,500 |
Multi-system or enterprise scope | 2–3 weeks | from $3,500 |
Fee credit: 50% of the discovery fee is credited against your build if you proceed with Codersarts within 60 days.
Discovery is always fixed price, never hourly. Its purpose is to give you certainty at the stage where you have the least of it.
The Walk-Away Guarantee
Everything produced in discovery is yours once the final payment is made. You are under no obligation to build with us. You can take the Decision Pack to any vendor, to an in-house team or to investors. Our background frameworks and internal tools remain ours, but every project-specific artifact belongs to you.
We offer this because good discovery should be useful even if you walk away, and because clients who feel free to leave are the ones who stay.
Why Codersarts
500+ apps shipped since 2018 across web, mobile, SaaS and AI
Engineers run discovery, not salespeople, so the people who scope are the people who build
AI-native team experienced with agents, RAG, document automation and machine learning
Global delivery with async-first communication across US, UK, EU, Middle East and APAC time zones
Fixed-price culture: we quote what we can deliver
What Happens Next
After the walkthrough, you choose the next step:
Fixed-Price Project: build the scoped MVP at the quoted price
AI POC Sprint: validate an AI component first
Milestone-Based Project: pay per accepted milestone
Dedicated Team: if the scope will keep evolving
Stop: with a complete, portable plan in hand
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I pay for discovery when others scope for free?
Free scoping is either rushed or its cost is hidden inside the build estimate. Paid discovery aligns incentives: we are paid to find out the truth about your project, not to win the deal.
How much should discovery cost relative to the project?
Industry practice is roughly 5–10% of the estimated build budget. For most projects, our fixed fees are at or below that range.
Can I skip discovery if I have a specification?
You can, but a short sprint usually uncovers gaps that would otherwise become change requests partway through the build.
What if discovery shows my idea isn't feasible?
Then it has saved you the cost of a failed build. We will tell you plainly and suggest alternatives.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, before any details are shared.
